Isabelle’s Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 1–2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 to 2/3 cup shredded Switzerland cheese blend
Preparation
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium low heat.
- Spread a thin, even layer of mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice of bread mayo-side down in the preheated skillet
- Sprinkle the shredded Switzerland cheese blend evenly over the bread, allowing the cheese to spill over into the pan. These bits will brown up on the outside of the bread, adding an extra crunch.
- Top with the second slice of bread, mayo-side up.
- Cook for 3–5 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown, and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice in half (I prefer diagonally) and enjoy!
