The Gohl dairy has a long tradition of cheese production. It was founded almost 200 years ago in 1830 and is run by the 5th generation of the family.  The dairy is located in the heart of the Swiss countryside in the Gohlgraben valley, from which the factory took its name. The cheese factory is specialized in the production of sheep's and goat's cheese, but also produces the traditional Emmentaler PDO.

The region’s climate is to thank for the characteristic flora of the Alpine foothills. These lush pastures give milk the typical characteristics responsible for the aromatic, tangy taste of the region’s cheeses.

Swiss Sheep

Our Swiss Sheep's cheese is a speciality made from sheep's milk.

Production is still labour-intensive. Our milk suppliers ensure that the natural environment is protected during production and that habitats are preserved. The premium quality unpasteurised milk is deliciously flavoursome.

For the master cheesemaker, it is a badge of honour to produce a high quality product with natural ingredients that give Heidi Swiss Sheep's Cheese a unique taste.

Swiss Goat

Our Swiss Goat's cheese is a semi-hard artisanal cheese made with goat's milk. This cheese is matured for five months and develops its unique aroma and flavours under the expert care of the master cheesemaker.

This cheese is highly nutritious, easily digestible, and is rich in calcium, zinc and important vitamins. Each stage of the production process in the cheese dairy contributes to the taste of the final product. The healthy ingredients provided by nature remain in the cheese.
