The Gohl dairy has a long tradition of cheese production. It was founded almost 200 years ago in 1830 and is run by the 5th generation of the family.  The dairy is located in the heart of the Swiss countryside in the Gohlgraben valley, from which the factory took its name. The cheese factory is specialized in the production of sheep's and goat's cheese, but also produces the traditional Emmentaler PDO.

The region’s climate is to thank for the characteristic flora of the Alpine foothills. These lush pastures give milk the typical characteristics responsible for the aromatic, tangy taste of the region’s cheeses.
