Wisen is a veritable precious wheel made with the finest Swiss milk, produced by Master Cheesemaker Werner Roth in Neudorf.

This typical traditional village is located in the heart of Switzerland near Lake Sempach, an important historical region where in 1386 the nation’s three founding Cantons triumphed over the Habsburgs and declared their independence from the Holy Roman Empire.

Each day Mr Roth collects the milk produced by exclusively grass-fed cows in the region. The cows feed on fresh grass all year round, free-grazing in hilltop pastures. In winter, when snow blankets the ground, they are fed locally produced feed and hay.

The cheese factory started business in 1903. Ever since then, the Master Cheesemakers have been producing cheese in complete accordance with Swiss cheesemaking tradition and philosophy.
